Costs and Money in Ireland

Credit Cards

The currency in the Republic of Ireland is “Euro”. The Euro is worth a little under the US dollar.
The Dublin, Cork and Shannon Airports have ATMs that accept any credit card; other currencies can also be changed into Euros at these Airports. Post Offices, hotels, and Tourist Offices also change currencies.
Costs in Ireland don't differ too much from any other EU country, but they can vary greatly from place to place. In rural areas of Ireland you will pay lower prices then in some big cities, especially in Dublin with its suburbs, where prices can be much more higher.
