On a travel to Ireland, passport and Visa are required for a valid entry. The people of United States, Canada, New Zealand and Australia, are allowed to stay upto 3 months in Ireland without Visa. Citizens of any country of European Union just have to show a passport or national identification to stay in Ireland, the same rule applies to British travelers.
Taxes on Duty free and Tax free items for personal use are abolished for European Union Countries. Items brought from EU counties after paying taxes are also not taxed.
Travelers aged below 17 are not allowed to import tobacco or alcohol in Ireland.

U.S.A, Canada, U.K, Australia, New Zealand have there own custom laws with Ireland.
